Who we are.
M.O.B Clinic Pty Ltd (ABN 50 701 611 449) operates this website and provides telehealth medical consultations in Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean M.O.B Clinic Pty Ltd.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and by state and territory health records laws where they apply to us.
What we collect.
We collect only what we need to provide your care and to run the clinic lawfully.

- Website information: see "This website" below.
How we collect it.
Usually directly from you: through our booking system, your pre-consultation form, your consultation, and any messages you send us. Sometimes we receive information about you from someone else, such as another practitioner or a family member or carer, where you have consented or the law permits it.
If you give us information about another person, you must have their permission to do so.
Why we collect it, and how we use it.
- To assess, plan and provide your care.
- To contact you about your appointments and your care.
- To take payment and issue receipts.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your health information for marketing.

How we hold it.
Your clinical record is held in our clinical records system. [clinical system details to come]
Access is limited to the doctors and staff who need it for your care or to run the clinic. The law requires us to take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and we do.
We keep health records for as long as the law requires, which is generally at least seven years from your last contact with us. After that they are destroyed or de-identified.
If something goes wrong with your information.
If a data breach happens that is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Seeing and correcting your information.
You can ask for a copy of your health record at any time. Email us at general@mobclinic.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of providing it, and we will tell you what that is first.
If you believe something in your record is inaccurate, out of date or misleading, tell us and we will correct it, or note your disagreement on the record where a correction is not appropriate.
We may refuse access in the limited circumstances the Privacy Act allows, for example where giving access would pose a serious threat to someone's life or health. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing and how to complain.
This website.
This website is deliberately simple. It does not use advertising trackers, analytics or visitor-tracking software of any kind. If that changes, we will say so here and describe what is collected.
The checks on our Before you book page run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us and we do not store them.
When you book, you leave this website for our booking system, and the information you give there is handled as this policy describes.
Complaints.
If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, email general@mobclinic.com.au with "Privacy" in the subject line. We will acknowledge it within 5 business days and respond in full within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
